The makers of the Transformers card game, Wizards of the Coast, have made it evident that the various Transformers toylines over the years will serve as a basis for a lot of the waves that we get in the game. With that said, I've already seen that in play with Siege being a big focus for the past two waves, and Combiner Wars being a source for the second wave of the game. I'm looking back at Combiner Wars again though to see what characters are remaining that could be given character cards for the first time, and these are the top 5 characters I found!

5. Cyclonus
I've mentioned Cyclonus before while talking about the card game, and I would love to see this wildly devout Decepticon soldier in the game! I think it is beyond due for the Decepticons from the original movie and the later seasons to become more prominent in the game, and Cyclonus would be a good start. He could also provide the game with another spaceship if they go that route.

4. Defensor
Combiners haven't made a true return since the second wave of the game, with the most we've had being a duo of characters that combine or a set of three components that then become a larger character. Combiners in the typical sense have been absent for the past two waves and I think it is time for at least one or two to creep into a wave! Defensor would be a great addition, as the designations among his components could give a variety of characters, including a helicopter which we need more of!

3. Bruticus
Bruticus falls in line with a lot of what I was talking about with Defensor. I want combiners to come back to the game, his components would give a lot of variety with a lot of different things going on between the five of them. Another helicopter would come to the game, along with another spaceship if they go that way with Blast Off! Bruticus though I know is more popular than Defensor, and his absence among the original wave 2 line up was conspicuous.

2. Sky Lynx
This was a character that I had a ton of fun with in the original show as his narcissistic quotes were a highlight of his appearances; I could easily see this character being given the "Brave" ability solely on the basis that he likely calls a lot of attention to himself. Furthermore, I would be interested in seeing how his design is handled in the card game, as he technically becomes two separate components upon transforming; would he possibly reuse Skytread's card design?

1. Wreck Gar
I liked this character a lot growing up, but the main reason he is topping out the list is because the developers have said before that the Junkions could be introduced as their own sub group entirely. I love having mercenaries in the game as a third faction, and having more factions would add a lot to the game and really flesh it out further than the Autobot and Decepticon war. While the Junkion pool of characters may not be huge (off the top of my head), Wreck Gar would be an awesome start!
