Mcfarlane's Spawn kickstarter has become a major success! An original goal of 100000 dollars has been long surpassed and by the second or third day the 1 million marked had been crossed. The profound success of this endevour surely means that more character's in Mcfarlane's roster of Spawn characters are due for this updated treatment through the kickstarter process and I'm very excited for the prospect of highly articulated versions of many of the classic characters! So with the money on their first Spawn project still rising, here are the top 5 Spawn characters I want to see updated next!

5. Sansker
I was really into Mcfarlane's Spawn line of figures when it was coming out and one design and character I found really interesting was Sansker. This monster had a huge, thick body of a snake that lead up to a pair of arms and a grisly head that could possibly come with hair depending on what version you bought. It was a figure I remember fondly growing up, and one I'd like to see Mcfarlane give an upgrade too if they get to more obscure characters.

4. Grave Digger
Staying on the subject of the more obscure characters, Gravedigger was my favorite out of this entire group of denizens and monsters. I loved his lanky, dirty, wrapped look that centered around shovels and gravestones and cemeteries. I was a really nice aesthetic, and the original gimmick of coming with "seven figures" when it actuality the six other figures were puny accessories is something I'd like to see given a revamp.

3. Malebolgia
Getting to more of the big ticket characters, Malebolgia is responsible for Spawn being Spawn and typically the main antagonist that Spawn has to deal with. The design for this character is ludicrous throughout the stories and he would surely get a massive figure to at least come close to scaling with Spawn himself.

2. Clown
I've always found this character very off putting, and very disgusting whenever I've seen him in the Spawn properties. The squat, fat, painted look of this character is revolting and I think that with the detail of sculpting that Mcfarlane does today he could knock things out of the park with a new Clown figure.

1. Violator
The alternate form of the clown was one of my favorite figures growing up and the outrageous look of this monstrous being is one that Mcfarlane should waste no time in giving us an update too, especially as the Violator is one of the most recognizable figures of the franchise. The elongated proportions along with a massive maw of teeth is begging for a revisit from the action figure realm, and my fingers are crossed that he'll be second on the list to be made after the Spawn kickstarter runs its course.
