Top 5 wanted Detective Comics (New 52) DC Multiverse figures
The New 52 era of Detective Comics featured a lot of storylines that I enjoyed a lot, as well as gave us plenty of designs that would look great as action figures from Mcfarlane toys! We've gotten a decent amount of New 52 stuff from Mcfarlane so far, and while this era is a bit controversial among fans I hope we continue to see figures from it; in particular these top 5!
One of the new villains invented for this run of comics, the Merrymaker utilized the trauma of his patients to manipulate them into crime to cover up his own criminal activities! His overall design is one that I really enjoyed, and even though we haven't seen really much at all from him after the conclusion of the New 52 Detective Comics, I think he should still have a chance at an action figure.
Featured heavily in the Gothtopia storyline in particular, Scarecrow had plenty of stand out appearances throughout the New 52 Detective Comics series. He has always been a favorite of mine amongst Batman's rogues gallery, and a more standard Scarecrow would be welcome at this point after several stylized versions from Mcfarlane.
Another long time Batman villain, this time one who has yet to make any kind of debut in the line from Mcfarlane. I love the agriculture motif of this character and I'm sure Mcfarlane could do sculpting wonders with her costume if Swamp Thing is anything to go off of. Her manipulation of Clayface was one of her storylines in this run that stood out to me most, and we've already got Clayface in the collection to put her with.
I very much enjoyed how much Penguin was involved in the earlier storylines of the run which featured some fantastic art! Penguin's look is pretty consistent across comics so I'd really be happy with any comic book iteration of the character they put out, just so long as it checks the boxes of a top hat, umbrella, monocle, and pointed nose! Another Penguin from this run of comics would have to be Emperor Penguin which was an epic transformation to see Penguin's right hand man Ogilvy push up through the ranks into leader of the gang in Penguin's absence. His eventual showdown with Batman was one of my favorites from this series!
It isn't a Batman comic without plenty of snazzy costumes for Batman to patrol in, and there are four in particular from this series that I think Mcfarlane could do great things with! The standard New 52 Batman suit is an obvious one that would give us another standard Batman on the shelf, with his orange herbicide suit being a fun variation on his costume similar to the Hazbat suit we got from the Amazo Virus storyline! Along with those two I would love the armored suit he wore to go up against Wrath in issue 24, Jim Gordon's Batman suit, and taking one look at the Gothtopia it is clear that it would make for a cool figure that would stand out against other Batman figures thanks to its white coloring!
