Top 10 most wanted G1 characters in Transformers: The Card Game vol 2

Wave 4 of Wizards of the Coast's Transformers card game has released and I think it is very awesome! Many of the cards are very powerful, fun to play, and I think it may even be the best wave since wave 1! It has a lot of fun new gimmicks, and it also has a great number of new characters added to the mix! We get mercenaries like Lockdown, Smokescreen, Spinister, Astrotrain, Apeface, Sandstorm, and plenty of others who hadn't been in the game yet! I'm always excited to get new characters in every wave, especially with the great looking art, and with my original top 10 list of most wanted G1 characters mostly being covered, here is a part 2 with another set of 10 G1 characters I want to see in the Transformers TCG.

10. Autobot Minibots
This is a very general category so I'm placing it at the bottom of the list. I feel like this subgroup of Autobots has been very underrepresented in the card game so far! We've gotten a couple of the main ones like Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, but where is characters like Brawn, Huffer, Seaspray, Powerglide, Gears, and the other smaller Autobots from the shows first two seasons? They made up a major portion of the characters that appeared in each episode, and I hope that they get more appearances in the card game soon.

9. Sky Lynx
I put the Sky Reign combiner on the last list because it comprised several characters that I wanted to see in the game, but now Sky Lynx is the only character from that group who hasn't received a card yet! This egotistical, charismatic dragon was a big part of the third season of the original show, helping the main characters along several adventures, and I would love to see him in the card game. I wonder too if his two modes would cause him to be used in a "Skytread", two card fashion.

8. Wreck-Gar
The original movie and later seasons of the show have gotten a decent amount of focus from the card game, but there are still several characters missing and one of them is Wreck Gar! There is a lot of potential for a card based around this character, that could involve playing upgrades, pulling them from the scrap pile, and most importantly, likely a new faction with the Junkions!

7. Quintesson
Speaking of new factions, the floodgates have broken with the introduction of mercenaries and I'm expecting now to get quite a few of the other factions WOTC have hinted at before. One of those is the Quintesson race, which has a fair number of potential members to make cards out of. The most obvious choice would be the being with five faces, and I'd love to see how it is pulled off.

6. Bruticus
Combiners have taken a bit of the break for the last two waves, but when they return there is no better choice than Bruticus. He is one of the most famous combiners of all time, with a group comprised of several charismatic characters, not to mention Swindle who is one of my personal favorites! With how tactical and powerful they are, a deck built around plan, focus, and bold will hopefully fit right up their alley.

5. Rodimus Prime
He topped off the first list, but with now two Hot Rods in the game my demand for Rodimus is a bit lower. I love the character from the old show, and his doubt in himself was a very intriguing plot point for the third season! Another Prime is definitely welcome in the card game, and I could see this character even being a super rare when he makes his debut.

4. Scourge
Getting into the primary villains of the third and fourth seasons, as well as the original movie, Scourge and his clones were the grunts of Galvatron's brigade and many times were lost in battles. As a primary foe of the later years of the show, I think Scourge certainly deserves his card after 4 waves already, and he would be another spaceship for the collection.

3. Cyclonus
Speaking of later villains in the show as well as spaceships for the collection, Cyclonus was the new second in command of the Decepticons and a big shake up from the treacherous Starscream. Cyclonus was a loyal, devout soldier of Galvatron who fought solely for Decepticon prominence. He had great interplay off Ultra Magnus in a few of the show's third season episode, so making this card playable with the Autobot city commander would be a fun toss in.

2. Reflector
Coming out of the two Siege waves, Reflector is the only character from the mainline Siege toyline (not counting micromasters and battlemasters) who didn't get a card in the set! Several characters from the exclusives toy lines did, and with Reflector being one of my favorite Decepticons from the old show I feel a bit stung. Hopefully soon he will make his card game debut, possibly with the same mechanic as Omega Supreme where he starts off as three components that then unite into one unit.

1. Galvatron
We have several Optimus and Megatron cards at this point, and two Hot Rod cards, so the second commander of the Decepticons is due for his turn in the card game by this point. Galvatron isn't as well regarded as the original leader of the Decepticons, but he is an iconic piece of the Transformers history and I think that wave 5 or another wave soon should lean heavy into season 3, giving us many of the characters I've listed above as well as arguably the most jarring omission from the card game so far: Galvatron!
