The Flash S06 EP04 spoiler review
Me being a little late posting this review actually works out because the episode took place on Halloween and today is Halloween, and it was a very Halloween episode! Surprisingly, Flash really leaned into a horror movie vibe that I thought was really refreshing for the show and gave it a whole new tone that was fun to watch for an hour. Great leaps forward were taken in terms of characters and story, so here are my thoughts!

Ranking CW's The Flash big bads (post season five)
The team was still dealing with the fallout of Barry's revelation that he would die in another couple months. Ralph definitely got the short end of the story line as he never even confronted Barry about his plight, mostly just spoke to Joe and Iris who convinced him in the end of the episode to continue to search for Sue Dearbon (the missing persons case) who he had initially given up on since he thought it was pointless given the coming Crisis. Ralph ended the episode with telling Iris he wasn't looking to get married with the case, which is very ironic, as in the comics, Sue Dearbon is his wife. Cisco got the main focus of this storyline as he sought for ways to save Barry, who in the end was trying to teach Cisco how to be team leader in order to take over after his death. It was a really good episode for the two of them who haven't gotten a lot of one on one story lines, but their friendship is one of the core relatipnships of the show and it is great to see it given so much focus. The end of the episode saw Cisco coming into grips with Barry's impending death, and agreeing to take on the role of team leader after Barry's passing. The absolute stand out moment for the episode thought was in the end when Barry and Joe spoke about Barry's death. It was an emotionally devastating scene, with Joe's actor given an amazing performance that still proves that he is one of the best actors on the show. Sad Joe makes me sad.
Another massive chunk of the episode was devoted to Ramsey who finally discovered how his powers work, and flipped over to the dark side. Barry did his best to try and save him, to connect to him as a good person and a great doctor; however, Ramsey became desperate and in the end, tipped towards villainy. His flip I feel has been a bit quick, but since they have to wrap everything up before Crisis I understand; I just don't want the Ramsey storyline to suffer so much. He attacked the hospital, needing to infect people to become dark matter incubators through which he could consume his temporary cure. 5 people ended up dying in the hospital unit he attacked, then became ravenous zombies that fought Killer Frost and Barry as they arrived to help, horrified by Ramsey's actions, and the villain escaped as Barry and Frost take in the horror. My one stray thought for this is that Ramsey totally knows that Barry is the Flash now, right? But like I mentioned, I feel a little like the Ramsey storyline is progressing very fast, with his flip feeling almost drastic instead of organic, and I hope the story doesn't end up just sweeping him aside completely to make way for Crisis and end his story without much impact on the heroes.
Finally, we got more scenes with Nash Wells who continues to form no attachments with the team and be nothing more than a jerk; which I'm hoping continues, and potentially, he may end up being the Pariah character! The end of the episode reveals that he is supposedly tracking the Monitor, which may end up alerting the Anti-Monitor to the positive matter universe, triggering Crisis and turning him into the Pariah character from the comics. It would be a great use for this Wells that would definitely set him apart from the another Wells and give Nash Wells a huge importance that otherwise might be just an Indiana Jones Wells who is around for Pre-Crisis. That's still a worry of mine.
