Ranking my excitement for upcoming Transformers projects
The Transformers universe seemingly died a couple years ago when The Last Knight came out, but was shortly after reinvigorated by the Bumblebee movie which was very different from all the prior films and made fans completely forget about Michael Bay's work on the franchise. There was a lot of chatter afterwards about the future of the franchise; however, things have gone a bit quiet and in that lull I'll discuss the projects that have been mentioned or announced, and how excited I am for each of them. In total, six different media projects are in the works in some form of development, and here is my ranking of how excited I am for each of them.

6. Videogame
This one is low on the list because we know pretty much nothing about it. I'm not even sure if it will come to America, since it is only being talked about at overseas conventions. It is free to play, online, and likely G1 themed. Aside from that, who knows? But I have hopes for a good Transformers videogame after Rise of the Dark Spark killed the videogame franchise. Transformers Devastation was a fun game to play, and hopefully whatever this game is will reintroduce Transformers to the videogame world permanently.

5. Live action TV series
This was a recent one brought up, and it was mentioned ambiguously alongside the G1 Joe property so it may be that they were referencing that and not Transformers at all. The prospect is there though and the possibility of a live action Transformers tv show is one fans are talking about now. The biggest question I have though is how? The budget would have to be insane, and regular broadcast networks would not be able to pull something like that off unless it relied heavily on human characters and likely did not feature many different Transformers designs.

4. TF6
The Last Knight's storyline is confirmed dead and forgotten, meaning that whatever Transformers 6 turns out to be it will be a completely new story with fresh faces and something new for the heroes to fight. We have absolutely no idea what the plot or included characters would be, but that leaves the door open for absolutely anything and I'm excited about that prospect!

3. Beast Wars movie
This is one they were actively working on before placing it on the backburner due to the incredible costs of making this movie. Hopefully they can eventually find a way to bring it to the screens though because this could be a very fun and unique Transformers experience that would differentiate it from the prior movies that came before. Having nothing but Transformers who become different animals, potentially in a time period devoid of humans, sounds like a wild ride and fingers crossed we one day get to see it.

2. Bumblebee and Optimus Prime movie
Bumblebee 2 and the solo Prime movie seem to have been squished into one film at this point, a crossover between the two characters following the events of Bumblebee. This promises to be a lot of fun, and while the first film had few action scenes and mostly focused on the relationship between Bumblebee and Charlie, the sequel has promised the inclusion of more robots and more action scenes which I'm all for. Hopefully we get to see more fan favorite characters in the follow up film.

1. Cybertron TV show
There were talks before about an animated Cybertron movie; however, it hasn't been mentioned in a while and at the same time we're getting an animated tv show based on Cybertron with a similar plot and an overall similar runtime to animated movies. This leads me to believe that the movie has become a tv show, and from everything they've said about it I'm excited! It is a darker take on the franchise where they explore the Transformers final days on Cybertron and the events that lead up to them leaving, as well as the expectancy of the show introduced new pieces of lore that will stick throughout following franchises. It sounds like this show will have an impact on the franchise as a whole, and with a focus solely on robots, with a darker tone, I'm all for whatever this turns out to be.
