Most wanted Haslab projects from each Hasbro property

Year two of Hasbro's Haslab introduction is coming to a close with an overall 2/3 success rate! The first project, Jabba's Sail Barge was a great introduction with a well known brand and a much wanted product. Unicron for the Transformers fans was an awesome way to branch out from Star Wars and try out another brand. Cookie Monster I thought was a really cute idea, but it seemed odd, and I was sad but not surprised when the 300 dollar piece didn't reach its minimum backer count. With year three coming up, I'm excited to find out what property and what item will be coming next in the Hasbro kickstarter, and while I'm thinking it'll likely be Marvel related since it is such a huge line for Hasbro, in this post I'll be looking at all four of the big toy brands Hasbro owns and breaking down the Haslab project I want most from each!

Power Rangers
First up is one of the their more recent lines, Power Rangers! Hasbro has given this line a lot of love so far though, pumping out a great number of high quality figures with an incredible diversity of shows and characters. One key component of the franchise is missing though, and that would be the Zords. The giant, battling machines of the Power Rangers are featured in every season, nearly every episode, and their absence in Hasbro's line is questioned about at every single convention attended. I think Haslab could be a potential release point for at least one Zord, probably the original Zord, and give us a massive, articulated, Mega Zord for the Power Rangers collection.

Marvel Legends
Next up is the line that I think makes Hasbro the most money right now, looking at how many figures and waves are released every year at this point. With Star Wars and Transformers both getting their turns at the Haslab project type, I think it is time for Marvel to get their turn and I fully expect that Marvel fans will support it in turn. I've seen people asking for things like an X-Men jet, and Avengers Quinjet, but I think that they should go more of the route of giant figures! We haven't gotten an actual large scale build a figure in years, not anything like the Toybiz days, and I think Haslab could be Hasbro's chance to top every build a figure there. Imagine an absolutely huge figure of an X-Men Sentinel, or a Giant Man, both in actual scale with the 6 inch figures! Galactus could also be done in this fashion, though likely wouldn't be in scale due to his mammoth status in the comics. Something suitable massive could work though.

Transformers
It might be a while before another Transformers Haslab occurs, but I've already got my mind set on one I'd like to see. After Unicron, I'm not sure what else they could do for the Transformers brand unless something really obscure is slipping past me, but I would love a Studio Series Driller bot to go along with the new Shockwave and rest of the cast. The massive, destructive worm in the third film was the center of a couple action pieces and its size and scale could be accurately captured in this service. The only thing though is that Haslab is fully funded by passionate fans, and the Sail Barge and Unicron both only managed to hit their marks in the final days while also being sought after items. The Michael Bay universe is much hated by the Transformers community, and even if we got this as a project I feel like it would sadly fail due to not enough support from the fans.

Star Wars
There is so much that can be done with Star Wars when it comes to Haslab projects, and the service hasn't even touched the 6 inch Black Series line yet! I think that an X-Wing fighter would be the easiest and most obvious project for them to go with, since the Tie Fighter failed at retail, and the X-Wing is also an iconic ship. I think that a 6 inch scale Rancor would be the most perfect piece for Haslab to go with though for the Haslab project. The sculpting and design of the creature would look tremendous in 6 inch scale, making it a definite stand out in any collector's collection.
