Top 5 most wanted Transformers Red series G1 figures

The reveal of the Red series from Hasbro provides an entirely new way to collect Transformers figures and finally gives the series a proper 6 inch, highly articulated and accurate line of figures to rival Marvel Legends and Black Series! While non transforming figures will not be a lot of fans' preference, I'm very intrigued by the line and the potential figures that can come out of it. The ones that have been revealed so far, Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Soundwave from G1, all look stellar and are likely some of the most accurate figures of the characters to be released! While the line has promised to venture into different universe from the franchises long history, G1 will no doubt be the main source of characters for the experimental line and I hope it continues for a long time. These are the top 5 G1 characters I hope to see made in the line in the future!

5. 1986 movie cast
While the other four slots on this list will be dedicated to specific characters, I'm taking this slot to say the cast of the original movie as a whole! Many of their designs were completely kibble-less and impractical to produce as figures, as close as many have come recently. The curved body proportions and more humanoid looks compared to the blockier designs of the previous seasons constantly make them nightmares for toy designers to properly figure out and I think this line would be perfect to finally give us highly accurate figures of these beloved characters.

4. Grimlock
This is a character that has been done many times over in the past, and I think the popularity of the characters speaks for itself in this case. The Dinobots are among fans' favorite groups of Transformers in the franchise and I don't think it will be very long until at least 1 of them will be included in this line, and I would have to guess it would be the main man himself: Grimlock. The character has appeared consistently in the franchise and the only question I would have for the line is which form of the character they would go for, as arguably the dinosaur mode is his main form.

3. Bumblebee
The popularity of this character has definitely sky rocketed after his role in the live action movies to the point that he is a mainstay in many iterations of the series after largely being dormant since G1. The character is rumored to received a figure in the currently running War for Cybertron toyline, but I think a figure of him would be warranted in the Red series as well and I'm already wondering how they will pull him off with his diminutive size. While other lines release smaller characters as regular priced figures, such as Jawas from Star Wars and Rocket Raccoon from Marvel, I'm hoping they at least include several accessories to try and justify the pricing.

2. Shockwave
One of my all time favorite Transformers of all time is without a doubt Shockwave. I absolutely love the design of this character and the role he plays in many of the stories by being a Decepticon scientist and probably the smartest of the entire Decepticon faction. The Studio Series figure of him blows me away, and the Siege version is practically flawless as well, but I'm still hoping to see him pop up in the Red line to give us that G1 accurate cartoon look the other figures have so far. I will also just take any Shockwave they will give us!

1. Starscream
The line already has a propensity for Decepticon as two out of three of the revealed figures are Decepticons themselves, and with so many of the classically famous Transformers being Decepticons I hope that trend keeps up because Starscream is a must for the line! He is practically indispensable when it comes to the Transformers universe and his harsh shrill voice is fondly remembered by many fans along with his attempts to overthrow his leader, Megatron. We've gotten two versions recently in the War for Cybertron line, with the newest version in Earthrise coming very close to perfect, but I think the Red series could truly give us that 100% accurate Starscream figure and with the focus on accessories I think it would be criminal for us not to get a cape and crown for him!
