Top 5 most wanted Transformers Red series Beast Wars figures

Hasbro's statements made already about their new line of non transforming Transformers figures including other universes aside from G1 have me excited about the future of the line and all the different characters we could possibly see with the door already open to non-G1 designs. The Red series has already been specified as including Prime and Beast Wars characters in future line ups, and so with this list I am taking a look back at one of the most beloved eras of Transformers and counting down the top 5 Beast Wars characters I hope to see in the Red series.

5. Dinobot
One of the fan favorite characters from the original Beast Wars cartoon and very deserving of an updated mass produced figure aside from the Masterpiece he got. His turn from Predacon to Maximal was one of the more emotionally investing storylines of the show and his spinning blade weapon would make for a great bit for the toy to implement into its design.

4. Megatron
The main baddie himself, Megatron in this show had one of the more gnarly designs that Megatron would ever take on. Turning into a T-rex, in robot mode the head of the dinosaur became one of his hands in an awesome design cue, and following G1 this was an interesting new take on the Decepticon leader. I also love that he took on a purple design coloration, I just think it looks really good.

3. Optimus Primal
After talking about Megatron, it is hard not to talk about Optimus Primal. This new version of Optimus is a character who actually does seem to get frequent releases for that original gorilla design, with the most recent being in the Power of the Primes toyline. I still think he would be deserving of a new figure that works to be completely screen accurate to that original first gorilla based design he had on the show.

2. Waspinator
This character is one fans have loved enough to see new figures of him produced in lines like Animated and Generations, with him having an expanded role in the Animated television show himself. This wacky character was used for a lot of the comic relief including in the sequel show Beast Machines, and with his insectoid, green design it would make for a really unique and stand out figure against a lot of the blockier G1 designs and bulky Beast Wars designs.

1. Cheetor
Probably the most popular character to come out of the Beast Wars tv show was Cheetor, a brash young Maximal who was popular enough to be used as the marketing artwork for Beast Machines, and become a central player during the Cyberverse tv show. He was a fun character on the show with an interesting design as well that would lend itself well to a figure in the Red series.
