Top 5 wanted Transformers Beast Wars 2 figures
After finishing Car Robots, Beast Wars 2 was the next Japanese animated Transformers series I delved into. While it was only "2" in name with no major connections to the original Beast Wars aside from a cameo appearance during a movie special, Beast Wars 2 was still a ton of fun and a great addition to the beast side of the Transformers franchise. Hasbro has already given us several characters from the series with their recent focus on multiple Transformers series, with the principle hero Leo Convoy made in both his primary form and copy Nemesis Leo form, along with Tasmanian Kid as the wild younger brother of the heroes, and a few years back we did get an anime accurate color scheme set of Seacons following Power of the Primes. There's a whole cast of characters waiting to be made once again by Hasbro, and these are the top 5 I hope to see!
Honorable mention: Megastorm
The role of the backstabbing second in command of the villains in this series went to Megastorm, a parallel to Megatron as the younger brother to the commanding Galvatron. Megastorm has a very cool design turning into a tank and taking the front half of the tank as his chest. If we were to get a Megastorm figure then we could have the perfect base sculpt to finally achieve a proper G2 Megatron repaint.5. Combatrons
Aside from Megastorm, the other villains that the show started off with were the Combatrons, a fleet of jet based Transformers who I feel should be easy repaints or remolds of some of the many existing jet based Transformers we have in the line, especially with the upcoming Aerialbots from G1. Starscream, Dirge, and Thrust should all be on the more straightforward side, with BB requiring a bit more consideration given his larger and bulkier design than most jet-formers.4. Big Horn, Apache, Scuba, and Diver
With two members of the primary hero team checked off already, I am highly anticipating more of the core team being remade by Hasbro. Big Horn would be a fitting voyager class figure, especially if they manage to include his head-missile gimmick somehow. The other three, Apache, Scuba, and Diver could all be achieved in the deluxe scale, with the upcoming Naruto Gamakichi collab figure looking like the perfect pre-mold for a Diver!3. Galvatron
With Galvatron's little brother mentioned earlier in this post, the third spot is taken by Galvatron himself. While he spent a lot of the early part of the series out of commission and Megastorm in command, when Galvatron came back to the fold he was a powerful, destructive force that paved the way into the finale of the series. He would be an incredible leader class figure, with an epic dragon alternate mode that wears a cape, and a very unique primarily pink color scheme!2. Jointrons
With the heavy allure of combiners in the current presence of Hasbro's Transformers lines, I would love to see the Jointron combiner team brought to the field as a quick and easy three person combiner team that could even be released in one way all at once! All three have very cool beast alternate modes including a lobster! And these three provided a heavy helping of comedy throughout the series with their proclivity towards partying.1. Magnaboss
Another three-person combiner from the series, and one of the most popular Japanese originated Transformers, Magnaboss was one of the coolest later additions in the series. With Lio Junior as the core of the team, he combined with two others to form the Magnaboss combined form which was an impressively designed and immensely powerful form seen throughout the second half of the show. We did receive a Skywarp as a remold of the Kingdom Airazor; however, an update that combines with a new Lio Junior and a new Santon would be a dream come true.
