Top 5 wanted S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball (1986) figures
Honorable mention: squat Goku and Krillin, Goku (Piccolo Jr. arc)
S.H.Figuarts put out versions of kid Goku and kid Krillin years ago; however, they are wildly out of scale and their proportions are much too lean. With how far engineering has come with the Dragon Ball line there should be no barriers towards putting out squat figures that accurately capture their looks from the original series, especially when looking at figures like the Daima Goku and Vegeta. The other honorable mention will be Goku based around the final arc of the Dragon Ball series which saw him grown up and going up against a reborn Piccolo Jr. There would likely be a lot of re-use from the current Goku mold, but something about the black undershirt really pops differently than the blue we're used to.
5. Pirate Robot
This robot wasn't around in the show for very long and didn't even really play a significant role in the Red Ribbon Army arc; however, I just really love its mechanical, alien design and think it would make for an epic action figure. The odds of it likely getting an S.H.Figuarts release one day is likely slim, but I would cheer if it happens.4. Kami
The good counterpart to King Piccolo, King Kami appeared as a new trainer for Goku to go up against his evil other half. The Namekian design is one of the most inherent Dragon Ball designs in the franchise and will always be welcome in action figure form, especially Kami as an important character who hasn't been checked off yet. His robes and his older appearance would differentiate him from the King Piccolo that has been released, and could even then be re-used and recolored to create the elderly version of King Piccolo before he rejuvenated himself by way of the Dragon Balls.3. Tien and Chiaotzu
Tien and Chiaotzu seem to be some of the most sought after figures in the Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts line, so seeing these characters released again would be very welcome, and their designs do not stray too far from their appearances throughout the rest of the saga. They were great additions to the cast and played instrumental roles in the fight against King Piccolo and during their own introduction arc. Tien's ability to grow extra arms is a design point that would be insane to have in action figure form, and Chiaotzu in his Crane school design.2. Tambourine
The villains of Dragon Ball are certainly some of the coolest designs in the franchise and have always been the figures I've gravitated towards, even before I watched the series itself. Tambourine may have been nothing more than a foot soldier, but he made a grand impact during his time in the show with the murder of Krillin and the havoc he wrecked before finally being destroyed by Goku. He would go great with the King Piccolo we have, and his winged, alien design would automatically make for a stand out release.1. Yamcha and Puar
One design I'm frankly shocked we don't have in the line so far is Yamcha and his companion Puar! We got so much of the original cast of the original Dragon Ball including even Launch and Jackie Chun, so Yamcha's exclusion is a head scratcher. Present from the earliest episodes, Dragon Ball has what I consider to be the most interesting design for Yamcha in his desert rogue look, and is the time he was the most useful before everything rocketed past his power levels. Puar would be a perfect pack-in with him, creating the perfect representation of their initial appearances in the franchise.
