Top 5 wanted DC Multiverse figures based on Superman (2024)

The first trailer for the upcoming Superman film has generated a lot of hype and intrigue for the first entry into the new DC film universe. I for one cannot wait to see what is in store for the rebooted film series, with the first trailer giving us a glimpse at an extremely comic accurate take on DC comics as we've come to expect with James Gunn's comic book projects. From the first trailer alone we've seen looks at several of the principles characters and their designs, with the expectation being that Mcfarlane will no doubt supplement the movie with DC Multiverse figures of his own. And with that expectation, these are currently my top 5 most wanted DC Multiverse figures based on the upcoming 2025 Superman film.

5. Lex Luthor

The line has given us a couple Lex Luthors thus far; however, we've yet to get a Lex attired in his business suit attire which is known to be a very common look for Luthor throughout his media history. Based on the trailer it looks like Lex is going to be wearing the tried and true suit design which could be the perfect opportunity to finally receive a suited Lex in the line.

4. Metamorpho

While our look at this elemental character is limited so far, Metamorpho is looking to be a very unique design in the film with complex textures and colors throughout, in fitting with the Metamorpho design. The sculpting detailing for a figure based on this design would no doubt be impressive, and depending on how much shape shifting the character does in the movie there could also be a chance for some very cool swap out limb accessories.

3. Hawkgirl

Hawkgirl is another character that we have received no iteration of in the DC Multiverse line so far at all, and her live action appearance is looking to be a very cool one befitting of a figure. Attired in a live action take on "The Terrifics" as opposed to her usual Hawkgirl designs, she still takes on the classic colors associated with the character and includes all the hallmarks, that being her mace as well as her winged helmet and impressive wingspan.

2. Mr. Terrific

One of the most impressive comic accurate looks in the film is undoubtedly Mr. Terrific, who looks like he was ripped straight from the comics. We got a splendid comic based Mr. Terrific at the end of 2024, which itself serves as proof of Mcfarlane's capability of nailing the character in figure form. That gives me added anticipation for hopefully seeing his live action incarnation brought to the figure realm by the time the film is released.

1. Superman and Krypto

There wasn't much else of a choice to put into the number one slot for this list. Superman is coming back to the big screen for his first titled film in over a decade. His costume is such a fun take on the classic red and blue, and with the continued advancements of cloth capes and facial print capturing from Mcfarlane it stands to reason that the Corenswet Superman's figure will be one of the best live action figure releases yet! Krypto is front and center with him in the trailer, and with superpets like Streaky, Ace, and the comic Krypto himself being released as pack-in accessories it gives me hope that we could see the adorable live action Krypto released alongside his super owner.
