5 wanted obscure characters for Tamashii Nations Naruto S.H.Figuarts line

With high hopes for the Naruto S.H.Figuarts line going into 2025 and clear dedication to the line being demonstrated by Tamashii Nations releasing a whole play set, I've decided to take a look at a few obscure choices from the series that I would love to see recreated in action figure form. I know there's a high likelihood that these are characters we may never see in the line, especially where we're at currently where primary characters are still being focused upon. From the first show in particular there were a lot of characters are only appeared for short periods of time and had limited screen time, but as a kid a lot of these characters were ones that really stood out to me and I thought were very cool, and would absolutely love to see join the S.H.Figuarts line one day if the line goes deep enough.

5. Dosu, Zaku, Kin

I have these three at the bottom of this list simply because they are the closest to not being more obscure characters from the series. Dosu, Zaku, and Kin had their fair share of scenes and screen time during the Chunin exam arc, with Dosu in particular standing out as the leader of the Sound ninja trio. These three were amongst my favorite characters in the original show when I was growing up and I remember looking up fan art and wondering how I could recreate their designs in real life in middle school.

4. Monkey King Enma

Making only a small appearance during the Third Hokage's epic battle against Orochimaru, Monkey King Enma pays a lot of tribute to the famous Wukong and would be a very fun companion piece to any Third Hokage figure that S.H.Figuarts could potentially give us in the future.

3. Team Oboro

As much as I like these characters I think we're really getting into the territory of the obscure characters in the series that aren't remembered by most fans, and if they were to be made in the line they would surely have to be exclusive releases. This gas mask trio from the Chunin exams were so cool to me as a kid and I made sure to learn each of their names and was beyond thrilled when they returned in the filler arcs. Conceivably S.H.Figuarts could release one body mold and include in the package three separate heads and swappable thigh storage bags to get all three characters out in one go for diehard fans like myself.

2. Yoroi and Misumi

Sticking with the Chunin exams once again, I adored Kabuto as a villain in the series and that extended to his two compatriots as well, Yoroi and Misumi. Both were a lot of fun in their respective fights and wielded unique abilities compared to a lot of the other characters. Just like the Oboro team both of these characters came back for more screen time in filler arcs which I loved to see, and since they share costume designs with Kabuto that means that once we get a Kabuto in the line it would be beyond easy to one day put out these two as well by reusing the sculpt!

1. Mizuki

The very first on screen villain of the series, and that fact alone may make Mizuki iconic enough to obtain a figure sometime down the line, but the fact still stands that canonically he only appeared for one episode and was never seen again after that. Just like team Oboro and Kabuto's team mates this is another character that returned in filler arcs, but it would of course be his design in this first appearance that would be the choice for an action figure for the villain that started off the series for Naruto, and arguably with the Kakashi mold in the line we have 90% of the needed sculpt to bring this character to the figure realm.
