Top 5 most wanted McFarlane DC Multiverse classic DC movie figures
McFarlane's line of DC action figures promises to reach across all of the DC Multiverse for their figures. Tv shows, videogames, comics, movies, everything is within grasp of this toyline to give to the fans, and with this post I'll be looking at the pre-DCEU DC movies that I'd like to see represented in the line! DC doesn't have a huge movie history prior to present day, but there was still quite a bit to pick through even if it is mostly Batman and Superman films. Mattel's Signature Collection was actually an incredible line I thought, and I wished it had been able to continue but as we stand now it is up to McFarlane to pick up where they left off and here are the top 5 characters from classic DC movies I want figures of.

5. Keaton Batman
The original Tim Burton Batman film was a very influential movie for the entire superhero genre, and spawned an entire film series that for better or worse kept going. The first film is still fondly remembered though, and with it fans remember Keaton's portrayal of the Dark Knight! It was a performance that is still cemented in Batman lore, and McFarlane would be wise to include this Batman in their current line up of Batman figures.

4. Nolan Batman
The suit went through a few changes in the Dark Knight Trilogy, but I would take any version in order to have a Bale Batman up on the shelf with McFarlane's new line of figures! I loved the Dark Knight trilogy with the realism and gritty tone it brought to the Batman universe, and I loved the take of the Dark Knight that the films brought with it. The more militaristic version of Batman's suit is such a unique take that I would love McFarlane to take a crack at.

3. Mr Freeze (Batman and Robin)
This is a bit of a ridiculous character in the movie but I absolutely love how campy and silly he is. I so wish for a better rendition in the upcoming movie series, but I still enjoy the original Mr Freeze interpretation as a guilty pleasure in that I find it hilariously bad. The constant ice puns are insanely quotable, and honestly the design of the character would make for a really interesting and stand out action figure!

2. Christopher Reeve Superman
In a recent interview with Todd McFarlane, this was actually one of the characters he was asked about when asked about making characters from the older films, which then in turn opened the conversation where he said it was possibly. Hopefully this means that this iconic version of Superman is on the way, as it was a great interpretation of the character and one of the first big representations of superheroes on the big screen!

1. General Zod (Superman 2)
Before we had Michael Shannon's Zod in the new films, we had Terence Stamp in the original Superman 2 in a more dictator-like representation of the character that I still love. The entire atmosphere of the character exhumed a character that was set on his goals and saw no way to be thwarted, not only that but the look and design of the character is one I really like with the baggy clothing and the mustache and beard combo. I hope that the lines runs deep enough to get to the villains of the original movies, or even if it is just a spontaneous occurrence for McFarlane to nab up this character for the line, I hope we see a figure based on this rendition in the future!
